Hello Ladies,
I hope you’ll all agree that last Thursday’s meeting was nothing short of a masterclass of creativity. Huge thanks to Paul and to Carol for presenting the meeting. A lot of work went on behind the scenes to facilitate the session and all that preparation reaped the rewards of some stunning wreaths.
THANK YOU
To Paul Bowman for his skill and professionalism in showing us all how to make the lovely Christmas Wreaths.
To Carol for all her hard work behind the scenes for the meeting and for nobly putting up with the resulting pong of the moss in her house and car!
To all those of you who helped to moss the wreath rings at Carol’s house beforehand, Maureen, Sharon, Josie, Derry, Sarah S and Kim. (Apologies if I’ve missed anyone).
To Amanda for being such a good “little helper’ throughout the meeting and for spearheading the clearing up.
To Sarah H’s Hub for arranging the delicious refreshments for last Thursday’s meeting.
To Gill, Jan and Jackie for running the raffle.
To all of you for your very generous contributions of Christmas presents for My Sister’s House. I delivered the presents to the donation collection point in Santander, Bognor which is where you will be able to take your presents if you were unable to bring them to the meeting.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I’d like to wish the following ladies a very Happy Birthday: Trish on 22nd November, Deborah on 27th November and Gina on 30th November. I hope that each of you has a very special day.

FUNNIES
FINALLY
Many thanks to Amanda and Kate for launching the Pre-Loved and Pretty event on Saturday, 9th March, at the meeting. We all have clothing, shoes and accessories in our wardrobes that we no longer wear, so why not dig them out, smarten them up and sell them? This event will not only raise money for stall holders but also for ARWI, St Wilfrid's and Crimsham Farm, so it’s a win-win situation. Don’t worry if you’re not sure about purchasing a table for yourself. There are lots of opportunities for you to participate in the event by:
• Purchasing a table alone or sharing with another member
• Assisting with advertising, putting up posters and distributing flyers
• Helping to serve refreshments throughout the event
• Making cakes/biscuits for the refreshment table
• Providing flour, eggs, butter, sugar, icing sugar for the bakers amongst us
• Generally helping out on the day
ARWI members have priority booking until 1st December at the discounted price of £22 per table. Thereafter, tables will be offered to other local WIs and the public at £25 per table. Full support and advice on presentation and labelling your items for sale will be provided by Amanda and Kate.
If you’d like to see what the event entails, there is a Pre-Loved and Pretty evening event on Tuesday, 28th November, 1800-2000. A free glass of prosecco will be given to all buyers. What’s not to like? I have room for 2 more in my car if anyone would like to go with me. Please let me know.
My next update will be in 3 weeks, on 10th December.
Have a good week everyone.
Aileen x
